Muay Thai ace Tukkatatong Petpayathai showcased the skills that have taken him to hundreds of career victories with another beautiful display of the art of eight limbs.

The Evolve representative outpointed US-based Serbian Ognjen Topic in their three-round ONE Super Series Muay Thai bantamweight contest at ONE: BEYOND THE HORIZON in Shanghai, China on Saturday, 8 September.

The first round was a tightly-contested three minutes, but it was Tukkatatong’s powerful strikes that brought the strongest reaction from the crowd at the Baoshan Arena.

The Thai star’s lightning-fast left body kick was also effective, while Topic’s smart footwork saw him evade some attacks and throw his opponent into the ropes.

Two-time Muay Thai World Champion Tukkatatong took control in the second frame – dominating the range with his long side-kick, and bossing the close-quarters exchanges.

Topic attempted to breach Tukkatatong’s defences with solid kicks to the body and punches over the top of the Thai’s guard, but the New Jersey native found himself countered effectively or tied up in the clinch by the taller, stronger man.

In the third round, Topic’s sweep attempts were thwarted as the Thai kept himself upright against the ropes, but referee Atsushi Onari waved away the protests of the Lion Fight Lightweight World Champion.

As the bout continued, Tukkatatong successfully stayed clear of danger to outpoint Topic and capture the win.

It meant the man known as “The Golden Doll” improved his incredible Muay Thai record to 242-33-2 as he edged one step closer to a ONE Super Series World Championship opportunity.
