After a successful launch in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, Disney+ will be launching in South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan this November 2021 too.
Announced today at a Disney+ APAC Content Showcase event, the streamer's expansion into the APAC region will also include a new array of original content from the region.
Lead by content creators, star-studded scripted live-action tent-pole series including drama, comedy, fantasy, romance, sci-fi, and more, the new APAC content titles will be available on the streaming service come 2022.

These titles are just some of the new projects that are part of Disney's ambition to greenlight over 50 APAC Originals by 2023.
Aside from new APAC content next year, Disney also announced the launch of The Walt Disney Company's APAC Creative Experience Program.
The initiative will connect hundreds of top creators from APAC with Disney's world-class filmmakers and creators.
Through creative masterclasses, live panels and other activities, Disney aims to provide as many opportunities possible for leading creators to meet executives and creates from many of the company's key brands and studios including Pixar, Lucasfilm, FX Studios and more.
With plenty of exciting content and initiatives in the next coming years, APAC fans have a lot to look forward to.
