Jay Chou, JJ Lin, Vanness Wu and Xiao Mai - the new F4?

Is it true? Could it be? Will 2019 bring us a fresh quartet of "flower boys" in the form of a whole new 'F4'?

Well, three-quarters new at least, since Vanness Wu is still part of it.

But we'll take what we can get, especially since Mandopop heavyweights Jay Chou and JJ Lin seem to be in on it.

This afternoon (Feb 22), everyone's favourite multi-talented superstar (aka Jay) uploaded a photo of himself with his backup dancer (who goes by the stage name Xiao Mai), homegrown singer JJ and Taiwanese-American singer-actor Vanness.

"New boy band? 🤔 Hahaha," the caption reads, along with the hashtag #F4.

Vanness acted in the OG (original) Taiwanese version of Meteor Garden, which aired in 2001, alongside Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu and Barbie Hsu.

According to their social media platforms, the four are currently in California -- we wonder if they're collaborating on a secret project, or simply enjoying a holiday.

Vanness reposted Jay's photo with the same caption on his Instagram.

Meanwhile, on the same day, JJ uploaded a different shot of himself with Jay, sipping on a cuppa with a gorgeous view of blue skies and fluffy clouds behind them.

How we roll in LA. @jaychou

"How we roll in LA," he captioned the photo.

Other than the 'F4' photo, fans are also gushing over Jay's endless stream of photos of his wife Hannah Quinlivan, and two children Hathaway and Romeo on their US holiday for the past few days.

Romeo’s latest photo gained the most traction among fans as it’s one of the clearest shot of the toddler we’ve seen so far since he was born in June 2017.

"Who is cooler 😎," wrote the 40-year-old star, with the hashtag #likefatherlikeson.

Yes Jay, you both are -- we just wish to see more of the adorable toddler's face.

But we know it's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

Jay's fans would know how fiercely protective he is over his children, and everytime he posts a picture of them, it would most definitely be hidden. Somehow.

We really can't decide who's cooler -- the new 'F4' or the adorable Romeo.
