99,999 roses and a pink castle flying a 'M' flag -- it's the proposal of many ladies' dreams.
And the 'princess' in this fairy tale is Chinese supermodel Ming Xi.
Mario Ho, son of Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho, pulled out all the stops on Monday (May 13) to pop the question to his girlfriend of two years.
He booked three levels of Shanghai's L'Avenue Mall and filled the space with pink ornaments including heart-shaped flower arches, flowing drapery as well as photos of the couple.
Going down on one knee, the 24-year-old made an emotional confession:
"You are a very innocent child, so I feel that being with you -- be it the words you speak or the things you do -- every moment we spend together makes me feel very safe."
"Spending our days together is the greatest joy in my life. I really treasure this. I hope that this love will last forever."
"Ming Xi, marry me?"
The 30-year-old said 'yes' to his proposal. As Mario slipped the ring on her finger, the crowd erupted into loud cheers.
Did he propose because she's pregnant?
When Ming Xi was surrounded by pregnancy rumours last month, Mario denied the claims and offered HK$100 million (S$17.4million) to anyone who could prove otherwise.
Interestingly, the supermodel appeared at the proposal in a loose fitting pink dress and sneakers.
Some photos taken by reporters show Ming Xi with a 'baby bump' which 'disappeared' in the photos she uploaded on Weibo to announce her engagement.
Mario's mother, who is the fourth wife of Stanley Ho, has said that she doesn't know whether Ming Xi is expecting.
Baby or not, the wedding bells are ringing.
