Better late than never?

Power Station's You Chiu-hsing wed his beautiful bride Jenny on Thursday (April 4), in front of 55 tables of guests at the Taipei Marriott hotel.

In his speech, the 50-year-old rocker apologised to his elderly parents for getting married at such a late age.

"Because I got married so late, my mother is unable to get up on stage because her knees are painful... sorry, we've been unfilial," said Chiu-hsing.

But on the flip side, Chiu-hsing added that his late marriage also meant that he's had the good fortune to receive many well wishes from friends he's made, many whom he'd invited to celebrate his big day.

Guests at the event included S.H.E's Ella and Hebe, members from pop-rock group F.I.R, and other celebrities from Taiwan's entertainment circle.

The day had started out bright and early for the couple and their friends, including Chiu-hsing's bandmate Yen Chih-lin, with gate-crashing activities followed by a church ceremony in the afternoon.

Among the challenges he had to go through during the gate-crashing were belting out the duo's hit song Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow and writing out a 10-point love declaration.

In the list, he promised to hug his wife three times a day, be a house-husband and take care of the kids, and acknowledged that "the wife is always right".

During the church ceremony, Chiu-hsing sang the song February, which he'd composed for his proposal to Jenny.

Addressing talk that his wife could be pregnant after the bridal party organised games to form 'two lines on a pregnancy test kit', a rep from his label HIM stated, "There's really nothing yet".
