The stress of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is officially over (for now) for local actress Yvonne Lim and her family.

The 50-year-old shared in an Instagram post on Sunday (Oct 11) that she threw a "We Survived PSLE" party to mark the major milestone, treating her son and his friends to a homemade feast.

Recognising the hard work that both the children and parents put in over the years, she wrote: "It's a milestone for them but more than anything, I hope they will look back and remember the friendships, laughter and good memories that came with this chapter.

"Although, judging by the celebration, I think we parents were even more relieved and excited than the kids. We made it too!"

Yvonne and her husband, former Taiwanese boy band B.A.D member Alex Tien, have nine-year-old daughter Alexa and 12-year-old son Alex Junior (AJ). The family of four previously lived in Taipei for nearly a decade before moving back to Singapore last year.

For the party, instead of ordering in, she decided to whip up a spread of homemade dishes for her guests, including her "signature" lu rou fan (braised pork rice), yong tau foo soup, guacamole and corn ribs.

"Feeding people is always part of my love language," she wrote, adding a shoutout to her husband Alex and the kids' godparent for keeping the children entertained in the pool.
