Grumpy Malaysian boy trying to run away from home with a tent is the funniest thing we've seen today

Raise your hands if you've ever tried to threaten your parents by running away from home.

Now, raise your hands if you never had the courage to actually leave the house.

Not this gutsy Malaysian boy though.

In a recent video posted on Facebook by Siakep Keli Press, a little boy can be seen trudging along the road with a backpack on his shoulders and a small foldable tent tucked beneath his arm.

It's oddly reminiscent of those episodes of Tom and Jerry where the characters would sulk off with their most prized belongings wrapped in a towel and tied to a stick.

While we would have packed just our favourite snacks and chouchou/bantal busuk, the boy goes a step further and prepares a tent. Definitely much more forward-thinking than we used to be.

The cameraman (presumably a family member) follows after him on a motorcycle. He then calls out to the boy a few times: "Brother, where are you going?"

The boy's determination (or stubbornness) is something to commend. Despite the cameraman's attempts at cajoling him and offering him a ride home, he resolutely ignores the other and continues on his way.

Whether he made it home or decided to embark on his journey to becoming a man, we don't know for sure. All we hope is that the boy is safe and sound.

We're not going to lie though, we can't get enough of the kid's menacing side-eye.

10/10 - absolutely threatening

Carry on my wayward son.
