Free activities for you and your kids to enjoy this June holidays

The June holidays are here again! Here's a list of places to indulge your child or the child in you, and the best part is, it won't cost you anything (mostly, anyway).

  • Experience the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Adventure from 25 May to 17 June 2018 at Plaza Singapura's Main Atrium.   • Esplanade: Flipside 2018Take a break this school holidays and discover the arts from a refreshing angle with your little ones instead. With around 200 performances and activities, highlights of the 10-day festival include a sonic experience in the dark, a giant puppet coming to life and an interactive electronic music piece you and your little ones can compose.   • Artbox Singapore:Check out Thailand’s largest contemporary pop-up market, Artbox – back for its second and largest edition. This year, it spans over two weekends from 25-27 May 2018 as well as 1-3 June 2018 from 3-11 pm at the Bayfront Event Space near The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
  • Asian Culture and Music Series: IndonesiaThe June edition of the Asian Civilisations Museum’s Asian Culture and Music series celebrates 50 years of friendship with Indonesia, with Javanese percussion and Wayang Sandosa, a modern form of Indonesian shadow puppetry.You can also jam out with your little ones to pop tunes by local and Indonesian performers at the Empress Lawn and take part in crafts and dance workshops, too.Find out more
  • #FilterLife Weekend Festival:Enjoy the last weekend of the June holidays with your little ones at the Peranakan Museum’s #FilterLife festival.This fun two-day festival features Peranakan-inspired performances and activities, as well as gallery tours of Peranakan culture.Find out more
  • Goodman Open House – Re: ImaginedArt lovers of all ages can enjoy a creative day out this school holidays. It's a family-friendly arts festival which features the eco-friendly theme of environmentally sustainable fashion. Goodman Open House is held at Goodman Arts Centre on May 26, from 11am to 5pm.   • NAFA Arts FestivalThe Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts celebrates its 80th anniversary with an Arts Festival 2018. Besides art and creative workshops and outdoor screenings of short films by NAFA students, there’s a plethora of food and beverage stalls, too.Find out more:
  • NParks Festival of BiodiversityLet your little ones celebrate Singapore’s biodiversity and learn more about conserving our natural heritage through fun games, crafts, interactive booths and exhibitions. It will be held on June 2 and 3, from 10am to 10pm, at the open space between Tampines MRT and Tampines Mall. Find out more:

  • Straits Family Sunday: Mari Amek Gambar (Come Let’s Take A Photo)Take a family portrait with your little ones at the Mari Amek Gambar (Come Let’s Take A Photo) exhibition at the Peranakan Museum. Discover the stories of Jawi Peranakans as you embark on interactive character tours in the galleries. The exhibition will be held on June 3, from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.Find out more
  • The More We Get Together: Singapore’s Playgrounds 1930 – 2030. Ever wondered what’s the history behind your favourite playground? For the first time ever, the National Museum of Singapore and the Housing & Development Board are collaborating to present an all-encompassing exhibition about the development of Singapore’s playgrounds in the past, present and future. The exhibition runs from now until September 30 at Stamford Gallery.Find out more:
  • White Sands Mall’s A Starmazing Space Adventure.Join the mass stargazing session on June 16, which will be held at the open field beside the mall in Pasir Ris (bring your own telescopes and binoculars). Mini stargazing sessions will also be held on June 17 and 23, from 7pm onwards. There will also be space talks at Pasir Ris Public Library as well as handicraft workshops.   • 'Discover Europe' Sesame Street at Changi Airport Meet the lovable Sesame Street characters landing at Changi Airport this June school holidays from 25 May to 24 June. For the first time, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie, Count von Count and Abby Cadabby will be meeting eager fans at Terminal 3 at live shows, meet & greet sessions and photo opportunities. Sesame Street Inflatable Playground will also return to Changi Airport's Terminal 4.
