Man, 21, dies in AYE crash involving 3 cars and a motorcycle
The male motorcyclist was taken to the hospital unconscious where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A 21-year-old man died following an accident involving three cars and a motorcycle along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on Tuesday (March 31).

Responding to queries from AsiaOne, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to an accident along AYE towards Tuas, after South Buona Vista exit at about 6.50pm. 

A 19-year-old female pillion rider was taken conscious to National University Hospital, while a 21-year-old male motorcyclist was taken unconscious to the same hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Police investigations are ongoing.

A dashcam video of the incident, shared on Telegram, shows the aftermath of the accidents, with several police vehicles present at the scene. 

Three lanes on the expressway were cordoned off, leaving only one lane accessible to traffic. Debris was also seen scattered across the road as officers directed oncoming traffic.
