A 49-year male motorcyclist died after an accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) that led to the arrest of a bus driver.

The accident, involving a bus, motorcycle and van, happened at about 3.30pm on Wednesday (Nov 4) along BKE towards Woodlands.

Dashcam footage of the incident seen by AsiaOne shows the damaged Malaysia-registered motorcycle lying on the third lane, with debris strewn across two lanes of the expressway.

About 20m ahead of the motorcycle, a Singapore-registered lorry is stopped on the same lane, while a Malaysia bus is stopped on the second lane.

In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police said the motorcyclist was taken unconscious to hospital where he later died.

A 50-year-old male bus driver was arrested for driving without due care and attention causing death.

Police investigations are ongoing.
