Company director and solutions architect charged over alleged corruption linked to government contract

Hoo Cheong Hau, 43, a company director at Ten Innovation Pte Ltd, had allegedly given bribes totalling $125,000 to Lim Chee How, Nicholas, 43, a former solutions architect at ATOS Information Technology Pte Ltd.
According to court documents, the bribes were given as rewards to Lim to further the business interests of Ten Innovation with Lim's company in relation to a government contract.
No details of the contract were provided in the court documents.
The duo were not represented by lawyers.
Those convicted of graft under the Prevention of Corruption Act can be fined up to $10,000, jailed up to five years, or both.
Offences relating to a contract or sub-contract with the Government or a public body have a higher maximum jail term of up to seven years.
