Traffic light damaged in Tanjong Pagar limousine taxi-car crash, 4 injured


PUBLISHED ONAugust 26, 2026 7:18 AMBYSean LerFour people were taken to hospital after an accident in Tanjong Pagar on Wednesday (Aug 26) that led to a traffic light being severely damaged.
The incident, involving a white limousine taxi and a grey Mercedes saloon car, happened at the junction of Keppel Road and Kampong Bahru Road at about 9am.
In videos of the accident shared with AsiaOne, the Mercedes is seen stopped in the middle of the junction with significant damage to its front bumper.
Meanwhile, the taxi crashed into a traffic light at the junction, with the impact of the collision nearly toppling the traffic light over.
At least two Traffic Police officers are seen at the scene.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force said that a 58-year-old male car driver and his 51-year-old female passenger, along with the 65-year-old female taxi driver and her 46-year-old female passenger, were taken conscious to Singapore General Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
