Man charged with robbing $140k in cash and AirPods from victim in Paya Lebar on National Day

The 26-year-old, Noor Najat Bin Alwi, was charged in court on Aug 11 with one count of robbery.
According to court documents, the incident took place at around 11.55am at PLQ 3, an office building at Paya Lebar.
Najat and two other men — Mohamed Rashin Shaalam S/O Mohamed Yasin and Muhammad Dzoulfarhan Bin Jazali — allegedly robbed a man of cash amounting to $140,000, AirPods valued at $180 and a shirt valued at $40.
The trio also allegedly kicked the man in the stomach.
Najat has been remanded since Aug 11, and his case has been adjourned till Aug 18.
If convicted, he will face a jail term of up to 20 years and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
Separately, Najat also faces three other charges under the Road Traffic Act for driving a vehicle without a valid licence.
