Motorcyclist, 25, killed in Seletar West Link crash; woman arrested

PUBLISHED ONAugust 19, 2026 6:57 AMBYSean LerA 25-year-old male motorcyclist died following an accident along Seletar West Link on Aug 18. A 57-year-old woman was subsequently arrested for careless driving causing death.
The accident occurred at about 6.45pm on Tuesday (Aug 18) along Seletar West Link towards the Central Expressway.
A video of accident posted on TikTok by Zulkifli Nordin shows a grey sport utility vehicle stopped in the leftmost lane on the road.
A motorcyclist and his motorcycle are seen lying on the middle lane of the three-lane carriageway, while three paramedics attended to him.
At least two persons, including a motorcyclist wearing a helmet, are seen directing traffic away from the two affected lanes.
Meanwhile, five cars, two motorcycles, one tipper truck and an ambulance are seen stopped along the leftmost lane.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force stated that the motorcyclist was taken unconscious to Sengkang General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Another person was assessed for minor injuries but declined to be taken to hospital.
The police added that the 57-year-old female car driver was arrested for careless driving causing death. Investigations are ongoing.
