2 injured in 3-car accident at Tampines road junction, police investigations ongoing


PUBLISHED ONAugust 23, 2026 12:54 AMBYSean LerTwo persons were taken to the hospital on Saturday (Aug 22) morning after an accident involving three cars took place at a road junction in Tampines.
The incident happened at about 8.40am at the junction of Tampines Street 84 and 85, outside Tampines GreenBloom, a HDB Build-to-Order (BTO) project.

Photographs and videos of the incident circulating on social media show a black Mercedes multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) stopped in the middle of the junction.
Meanwhile, two other cars are seen stopped at the slip road from Tampines Avenue 8 to Tampines St 85, resulting in traffic being temporarily unpassable.
The airbags in one of the two cars are seen deployed too.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the police stated that a 60-year-old male car driver and his 33-year-old female passenger were taken conscious to the hospital.
Investigations are ongoing, the police said.
AsiaOne has reached out to the Singapore Civil Defence Force for information on the two injured persons.
