Two taken to hospital after 6-vehicle chain collision on PIE

A video uploaded to the Singapore Incidents Facebook page on Saturday (Aug 8) showed the aftermath of the accident, where the six cars involved were stopped along the innermost lane of the PIE.
Debris from the collision can be seen scattered across the road while drivers and passengers stand on the sidelines assessing the situation.
Significant damage to the front and rear of the cars involved can be observed, and a Land Transport Authority traffic marshal is seen recording down information as he speaks to one motorist.
In response to AsiaOne's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the incident occurred along the PIE towards Tuas after the Jalan Eunos exit around 12.20pm on Saturday.
According to the police, two people were taken to Changi General Hospital, including a 21-year-old female car passenger.
Police investigations are ongoing.
