The US and China are set to make some announcements on agriculture and non-tariff barriers during a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington this month, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said on Thursday (Sept 3).

"We're not looking for a giant comprehensive trade agreement with China. We're looking to manage this relationship," he said in an interview on Fox News show Special Report with Bret Baier.

"When President Xi comes, we expect that we will probably have some more announcements on agriculture and non-tariff barriers related to agriculture to incentivise American sales into China," he said.
