BANGKOK - A local government official was hospitalised after a shooting incident in Nonthaburi on the outskirts of Thailand's capital on Monday (Aug 10), the deputy provincial governor said, just days after a mass shooting in the same province.
Deputy governor Apichai Aramsri told Reuters the suspected shooter, a former lawmaker, had been detained.
The incident took place in Nonthaburi province, where a teenage student on Friday killed six people and himself at a school after allegedly shooting dead his grandparents, in the country's worst mass killing in nearly four years.
