The 51-year-old Malaysian man, identified as Wira Sudepja Rabu, shared the moment in an Instagram video the following day.
The clip shows Wira jogging along the marathon route while carrying his daughter, Nur Wadihan, better known as Dihan, in his arms.
Both are dressed in marathon attire as fellow runners and spectators cheer them on.
One runner jogs alongside them while pushing what appears to be a specialised stroller for Dihan.
Another clip show Wira crossing the finish line with Dihan in his arms, followed by photos of the father-daughter duo posing at the finish line.
The video's on-screen text reads: "Finishing the KLSC Marathon 2026. Dihan, an extraordinary child of heaven.
"She ain't heavy, she's my baby. Belated happy birthday, Dihan, 18 years old.
"Happy World Cerebral Palsy Day. To my fellow warriors. Crossing the finish line together, wrapped in Dad's hugs and kisses. Life is more than just mere survival. (This is) the life of an extraordinary child of heaven."
Netizens shared their support and praise in the comments section.
One netizen wrote: "This isn't just about running; it shows us that this represents only a tiny fraction of a father's total strength for his child in heaven."
"She’ll be forever your baby. And daddy will be forever her superhero. Congrats," wrote another.
This is not Wira and Dihan's first rodeo together.
Wira cycled 7km with his daughter and his 52-year-old wife as they joined thousands of Malaysians celebrating National Day on Aug 31, reported New Straits Times.
Earlier, he told local media that he and Dihan have been participating in outdoor activities since she was six years old and that he prepares for all of Dihan’s needs in advance, reported Malay Mail.
The pair reportedly made headlines after Dihan was inducted into the Malaysia Book of Records in 2018 as the first child with cerebral palsy to complete a duathlon, after finishing the Kerian Incredible Duathlon.
