TikToker blasts McDonald's over 'stingy' Filet-O-Fish tartar sauce: 'Don't want to give, don't give'

Nothing unites people quite like discovering they've been short-changed on burger sauce. 

A content creator has blasted McDonald's on TikTok for allegedly giving her a stingy amount of tartar sauce with her Filet-O-Fish burger. 

After sharing her tale, the internet wasted no time sharing its own McDonald's mishaps.

Tiktok user cheddok posted her video on Monday (Sept 14), showing a Filet-O-Fish burger opened up to reveal three meagre dollops of tartar sauce on the patty. 

Addressing the fast-food chain, she asked: "You want to give or you don't want to give?"

She urged McDonald's to serve its customers "properly" when preparing their food.

"If you don't want to give, don't give," she said, adding in her caption that the fast-food chain was being "stingy" with its sauce.

She told the fast-food chain that they could eat the burger instead if they wanted to serve something "like that".

"Like that, you better eat yourself," she said. 

Cheddok is a content creator known for food reviews and videos in Singapore and Malaysia.

Her TikTok video has gone viral, racking up over 573,000 views, more than 27,000 likes and over 1,000 comments.

Her video struck a chord with netizens, many of whom responded with photos and stories of their own less-than-perfect McDonald's orders.

One comment said, "Yours [is] still ok, see this", and showed a picture of a Filet-O-Fish with the cheese placed on the box instead of under the patty, in the burger.

Another TikTok user shared a picture of a double Filet-O-Fish burger with one patty noticeably misaligned on top of the other.

Yet another netizen alleged that they received a serving of large fries that contained only about half the expected portion.

Cheddok's complain comes after the fast-food chain began charging extra for additional sauce since April this year.

After posting her original complaint, cheddok posted a follow-up TikTok video later on, in which she revealed that McDonald's had refunded her $9.90 for her meal.

Beaming happily, she thanked McDonald's for hearing her out and providing her with the compensation.
