The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority said at 3.46pm on Wednesday (Aug 12) that heavy departure traffic due to tailback from Malaysia has subsided.
Travellers departing Singapore via Woodlands Checkpoint are advised that there is currently heavy departure traffic at Woodlands Checkpoint.
In an advisory posted on its social media at 11.19am, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said this is due to tailback from Malaysia.
The authority added that delays are expected and advised travellers to check traffic conditions before embarking on their journey.
Checks by AsiaOne on the Land Transport Authority's (LTA) traffic camera at 11.45am show that the tailback stretches up to Woodlands Crossing.
However, traffic remains smooth along the Woodlands Flyover towards Woodlands Checkpoint.
There are currently no advisories for Tuas Checkpoint, with traffic cameras showing normal traffic conditions.
The Singapore-Malaysia border crossings are among the busiest in the world, with over 18 million crossings recorded during the recent June school holidays between May 26 and June 28.
